Father Vicente SANCHEZ RODRIGUEZ was born 16 April 1963 in Campillo de Salvatierra (Salamanca) Spain. After primary school in his own town, he did secondary studies in a Dominican school in Valladolid, (Colegio de Ntra. Senora del Rosario), graduating in 1980. Later he made his Dominican noviciate in the Priory of Santo Domingo, Ocana, Toledo, where he made his first profession in 1982. After his profession Father Vicente went to the Institute of "Filosofia y Teologia St. Pedro Martir", Madrid, where he read philosophy and obtained the degree of Bachelor in Philosophy. Having completed theological studies in the said Institute, he was awarded the degree of Bachelor in Sacred Theology in 1987. He was ordained priest on the 27th of June, 1987.

After his ordination Fr. Vincent S. was in charge of the Pre-novitiate in our Priory of St. Thomas, Avila (1989-1994). Later on, he was assigned to our Priory of Holy Rosary in Madrid for the Pastoral guidance of the youth. (1994-1998).

During his time in Spain Fr. Vincent pursued studies in Psychology obtaining the degree of Masters in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, (Centro de Psicologia "Bertrand Russell") and Doctorate in Psychology. (Universidad Autonoma, Madrid).

In 1998, Fr. Vincent S. was assigned to St. Joseph House, Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong to do missionary work.

Since his arrival to Hong Kong, Fr. Vincent has been committed to the study of Cantonese, first in the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and afterward with private tutors.

Subsequent to the first mission in St. Joseph's House, Fr. Vincent has been assigned to St. Jude's Church (North Point) and St. Margaret's Church (Happy Valley).

Since 2005 until 2010 Fr. Vincent has been teaching in St. Joseph's University (previously IIUM) different psychological subjects. From the beginning of 2007 until 2010 he has also taught at the Graduate School of IIUM in the "Masters in Counseling and Psychotherapy".

Fr. Vincent S. is currently a practicing clinical psychologist, member of the Hong Kong Psychological Society. Being a psychotherapist is an essential part of Fr. Vincent's pastoral mission, which purpose is to alleviate psychological suffering and to help people make better sense of their lives.

Regarding his work in Rosaryhill School, it started in 2004 when Fr. Vincent was in charge of the Department of Religion. From this position he has tried to carry out his spiritual mission as a Dominican, for the benefit of the students, teachers and the rest of the staff in RHS. In 2013, the former supervisor, Fr. Christopher Chor, appointed Fr. Vincent S. to be the coordinator of the discipline and counseling in Rosaryhill School. During this time, Fr. Vincent has tried to foster a wholesome practice both for teachers and students, which entails a mindful and spiritual approach to life.
