Opening Day Ceremony 2022

Date: 03/10/2022

After a short summer break of about 3 weeks, the new term started on 1st September 2022.  The Opening Day Ceremony was held in the school chapel.  It was a simple but solemn ceremony, as our spirits were high and we were prepared to tackle every challenge in the new school year.

It was our great honour to have invited our alumnus Ms. Shirley Choi to be our Guest of Honour.  Ms. Choi delivered a thought-provoking and encouraging speech. She first shared her story of her passion for music and how she learnt all kinds of string instruments, pushing herself beyond her limit and to explore different possibilities. She also stressed the importance of giving a good account of oneself even if no one is around you. The three crucial elements to pursue our dreams are: a strong heart, perseverance, and hard work. She shared how she exerted herself even when she had a concert in an empty hall and how she continued to strive for excellence. Finally, she believes that perseverance and hard work will pave our way to success.

After the inspiring speech, four scholarships were presented by the Rosaryhill School Old Students Association to the graduates of 2021-22 who had outstanding performance in Chinese Language and English Language public examinations.  The awardees were Lopez, Raph Carrhel. M., the best in Chinese Language, Togher, Daniel Ben Matthew, the best in English Language, and Das, Josh Dumore, he was the best in both Chinese and English Language.
