Fr Lionel Xavier OP (3 July 1930 to 9 October 2011)

Memorial Mass commemorating the 10th Anniversary of death of  Fr Xavier. 

Many of you would remember Fr Xavier, some might have heard about Fr Xavier and some of you might never have heard about this great Father of our school. 

Fr Xavier was a very important person in Rosaryhill School for 40 years. He was one of the founding Fathers of Rosaryhill School, he was once the Supervisor of the whole school, Principal of different sections and he was also in charge of the Department of Religion for a very long time. Fr Xavier was also the founder of many organizations in our school such as the Rosaryhill School Old Students Association and the House system. More importantly, he was a very good friend of thousands of Rosarians (alumni, students, parents, teachers and staff), he used to travel around to different countries to visit Rosarians regularly before he passed away. 

Furthermore, Fr Xavier spent the last few years of his life in Macau nurturing young individuals who wanted to become priests in the Dominican Order. Sadly, he passed away on 19th October 2011. 

Originally, we were going to have the Memorial Mass on 9th October 2021 but the Mass was unfortunately cancelled due to typhoon.

The School has now rescheduled the Memorial Mass to 8th January 2022 at our School Chapel at 4pm.  Once again, we warmly invite everyone to come to attend the Memorial Mass of this great Father.
